Celtic of Scotland defender Efe Ambrose has turned down a mega offer from a team in Kazakhstan but might still leave the Scottish side this summer.
FC Ordabasy and FC Astana were willing to double his present wage if he agrees to a move in the summer but the 27 year old who has found games hard to come by at Celtic this season believes it’s still too early for him to move to Kazakhstan.
Ambrose was linked with a move to China in the winter transfer window but the shot stopper dismissed the rumour as untrue.
He has been at Celtic since 2013 but this season has been his worst in terms of appearance and performances as he has so far made just 16 appearances which was made worst by the red card he received in the league cup game against Ross County.
A move to Olympiakos of Greece in the winter of 2015 was rejected by Celtic but they are signs the Greek side could renew their interest in the defender who is also comfortable playing as a full back.
