Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that Nigeria U-23 and Enugu Rangers goalkepper Emmanuel Daniel is currently being monitored by French giants AS Monaco.

Daniel who trained with the Super Eagles of Nigeria during camping for their AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt before dropping back to the U-23 was spotted by the club’s scout during the last U-23 AFCON.

The scouts of Monaco were in Senegal venue of the Africa U-23 championship to watch another player but ended up with the name of Emmanuel Daniel on their lips following his startling performances at the tournament.

He followed that up with another top showing for Nigeria U-23s in their shock 0-1 win over their Brazilian counterparts in a friendly game where the 22 year old stood between Brazil and an equaliser before he was substituted owing to an injury.

That same game Monaco had scouts presents and once again Daniel proved his performance when they first saw him was not a flash in the pan.
