Goalkepper of FC Ifeanyi Ubah,Uche Okafor popularly called “One Catch” says he hope they stay top of the Nigeria Professional Football League till the end of the season.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah moved to the summit of the Nigeria top flight league yesterday after a routine 2-0 win over Plateau United gave them one more point than Enugu Rangers after 10 matches in the league.
“We are top and it feels so good to look at the table and i hope we stay top till the end of the season, it’s a tall ask but I know we can do it, and we will by the grace of God do it” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Okafor insist his extra motivation is not borne out of grudge for his former club Enugu Rangers who are presently second but the desire to repay the management of FC Ifeanyi Ubah and the fans for their support and encouragement.
“I have nothing against Enugu Rangers as a matter of fact my motivation is solely to repay the fans and management of Ifeanyi Ubah for their support and encouragement and what we are about to achieve by the grace of God will shock Africa”.
