French giants Olympique Lyon have join the likes of Arsenal,Borrussia Dortmund and possibly Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Roma 19 year old Nigerian teen,Sadiq Umar in the summer.

Sadiq’s intermediary, Mohammed Lawal last month confirmed to that the 19 year old was on the radar of Arsenal and Borrussia Dortmund but the lure of playing regularly and Champions League football might favour Lyon in the race to sign the Kaduna born forward.

President of Lyon Jean Michel Aulas according to La Gazzetta dello Sport wants the club to push for a loan move for the teen who is presently on loan to Roma from Serie B side Spezia although Roma are set to turn the loan into a permanent deal.

Roma are willing to pay Spezia €2.5m for Sadiq in the summer but they are reports they will be willing to cash in on him if any interested party comes up with a bid within the region of €12m.

He has so far scored twice in six games for the main team of AS Roma in the Serie A but have found games hard to comeby since Rudi Garcia was replaced by Luciano Spalleti making do with games for the Primavera side where he has 17 goals for the title challenging B team of Roma.
