After sitting on the bench for FC Porto first team on Saturday away at Academica, Chidozie Awaziem dropped a level to the second division and made an instantaneous impression scoring for the B team against Braga II.
Awaziem scored the opener for FC Porto II with eleven minutes left to play which gave them the necessary boost to claim a 2-0 win and keep them top of the second division table in Portugal.
The goal against Braga II was his third goal of the season with two coming for the B team while he scored on his debut for the main team in a cup game against Benfica.
19 year old Awaziem has forced his way into the first team set up at FC Porto less than two years after moving from Nigeria non league side El-Kanemi Juniors of Jos.
He recently signed a new five year deal which ties him to FC Porto till the summer of 2020 with a buyout clause of 30 million Euros.
