Fresh from scoring the winning goal for Concordia Chiajna last week against Petrolul Ploiesti, 27 year old Nigerian central defender Michael Odibe was once again on target, scoring the opener as they battled to a 1-1 draw against FC Voluntari.
The result leaves them in 5th position on the relegation play off table in Romania, a spot that could guarantee them another season in the top flight.
Odibe joined Concordia Chiajna in January from Kazakhstan side Atyrau as a free player to help plug the hole in their defence line but he has so far proved to be a goal scoring defender with three goals to his name from 14 games.
He is on a short term contract with the Romanians until the end of the season same as his fellow Nigerian at the club Christian Obodo who also played in the 1-1 draw against Voluntari.
Obodo has four goals to his name from 17 games this season but the 32 year old last scored on the 23rd of April experiencing a goal drought that has stretched to six games.
