Newly promoted Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers ran the rule over Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi in his team 1-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes.
Adi back in the starting line up for Portland Timbers after regaining full fitness following an injury lay off fired blanks for 82 minutes before he was replaced as 10 man Portland Timbers ran out 1-0 winners over San Jose Earthquakes.
Glasgow Rangers are the latest team to be linked with the 25 year old Nigerian who scored 18 goals last season as he is reportedly on the summer transfer wish list of St. Etienne of France, Hamburg in Germany, Swansea City and Crystal Palace in England.
This season despite picking up an injury that kept him on the sideline for three weeks he has found the back of the net 8 times in 14 games thanks to a blistering start to the season which helped him score seven goals in his first seven games of the season.
Three promotions in four years helped Glasgow Rangers return to the top flight in Scotland after suffering demotion to the fourth tier in the 2011-12 season following the liquidation of Rangers Football Club PLC.
However they will have to fend off offers from their old firm rivals Celtic who are also in the race for Adi according to reports.
