The intermediary to AS Roma Nigerian teen forward Sadiq Umar has confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that the 19 year old could move to newly promoted Serie A side Crotone on a season long loan.
Sadiq’s Nigerian intermediary Mohammed Lawal revealed that talks between both teams is ongoing and a decision will soon be reached, however there’s a high possibility of the move happening.
“We are in talks with Crotone over a loan move, at the moment talks are not yet advanced but it’s looking positive, a loan to a Serie A side tick the right boxes for the career development of Sadiq” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Jololo as Sadiq is fondly called by close friends and associate got his breakthrough at Roma under coach Rudi Garcia but since the sacking of the Frenchman, the Future of Africa academy graduate has struggled to find game time under new coach Luciano Spalleti.
He ended the just concluded season with two goals to his name from six games for the main team of Roma in the Serie A but scored 14 goals for the Primavera side campaigning in the youth division.
