20 year old Nigerian winger Aliyu Okechukwu has Joined NK Split of Croatia on a permanent deal from fellow top division side HNK Rijeka.
A pacy winger with fancy footwork and an eye for goals wasn’t retained by Croatian side despite his fairly average success while on loan to NK Sibenik last season.
Oki as he is called in Croatia has been in Croatia since 2013 and ended last season on loan to second division side NK Sibenik and was very pivotal in their rise to the top of the table before he picked up an injury that ended his season.
He joins Split on a deal that includes Rijeka having 20% of his transfer fee if he is sold by the modest Croatian side in the nearest future.
At HNK Rijeka he was one of the 10 Nigerians on the books of the club that runs an academy in Abuja,Nigeria called Football Academy Abuja (FAA) that is famed for producing top players.
