HNK Rijeka 21 year old Nigerian left back Jamilu Collins has completed a season long loan deal move to another top division side in Croatia NK Istra.
Collins had two different spells on loan last season, first with Krk in Slovenia before ending the season on loan to second division side NK Sibenik where they narrowly missed out on promotion to the top league by losing on shoot out to NK Istra.
However Istra recognised his talents even though he missed the decisive kick against them that enabled them preserve their top flight status.
He was a part of the Nigeria U-20 team to the Toulon Youth Tournament in 2013 and has been in Croatia since then but is yet to fully establish himself in the league.
Already he has resumed pre season training with Istra and his loan deal includes a caveat that gives Istra an option to buy him permanently next summer.
