Former Warri Wolves forward Oke Akpoveta continued his fine goal scoring form by scoring his 10th goal in 13 games to fire his Swedish side Frej to a 5-2 win over Halmstad.
The 24 year old who is on loan to the second division side from Danish side Lyngby scored the first and second goal for 10th placed Frej in the 1st and 40th minutes respectively on the way to helping his team edge a seven goals thriller 5-2.
Akpoveta who would have been hoping for a hattrick was replaced in the 75th minute in a move that looks more like precautionary to prevent him from picking a second booking as he was yellow carded in the 30th minute.
He is now the leading top scorer in the league with 10 goals, three more than Alexander Ruud of Halmstad his closest challenger for the top scorer award in the Superettan.
Frej are resigned to losing his services at the end of the season with reports of Lyngby willing to cash in on his best goal scoring form since moving to Europe in 2012 by selling him to the highest bidder.
