Tottenham Hotspur 20 year old winger Nathan Oduwa has been dropped from the Nigeria U-23s who are currently in camp preparing for the football event of Rio 2016 Olympics, owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered.

The Samson Siasia lead crew didn’t include the former England International in the team that will be heading to the United States of America for camping ahead of the Olympics after failing to impress the technical crew on two occasions.

His first appearance for the Nigeria U-23s was in a friendly game against Brazil in Rio which Nigeria won 1-0 with the winger coming on as a second half substitute in the game few months after switching allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England.

However Oduwa had a below par showing at the recently concluded Suwon Invitational Tournament with his first start ending in a disappointing fashion as he was substituted in the first half of Nigeria heavy 2-6 loss to Denmark.
