A lone strike from 22 year old Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu gave Danish side FC Midtylland a slim 1-0 win over Lithuanian side FK Suduva.
Onuachu one of the two Nigerians at the club scored the goal only game in the 56th minute to give his side a narrow advantage ahead of the return leg in Lithuania in a forthnight.
On from start to finish, he was the only Nigerian on show for the Danes with Rilwan Hassan missing out completely on the match day squad for the first leg encounter.
Last season Onuachu shot to global prominence when he scored the winner for the unfacied Danes against English giants Manchester United in the first leg of their round of 32 elimination game.
Widely tipped to depart the Danish side before the end of 2016 the over 2 centimeter tall forward scored 7 goals from the 27 games he played in all competition last season.
