West Ham United have beaten the English Premiership duo of Leicester City and Southampton to the signature of 23 year old Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa, owngoalnigeria.com understands.
As exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com at the start of the week Southampton bid in excess of £20m was under consideration by the board of CSKA Moscow but the forward choose West Ham who also have a bid accepted for him.
We gathered the bid in the region of €25m was yesterday accepted and all what is left now is for the vice captain of the Nigeria senior national team to agree personal terms.
Manager of West Ham Slaven Bilic tried to sign Musa in 2012 when he was manager of Locomotive Moscow but missed out on the forward who instead moved to CSKA Moscow from VV Venlo of Holland.
Musa as a matter of fact scored for CSKA Moscow in a 4-1 win against Slaven Bilic’s Lokomotive Moscow same season and since then the manager has monitored his career rise and will now get his man at the second time of asking.
His signing could hasten the departure of Diafra Sakho to Sunderland with the Senegalese keen to team up with Sam Allardyce, his former boss at Sunderland.
