Former Tottenham Hotspur teen prospect Musa Yahaya is yet to team up with his new team FC Porto in Portugal as he is yet to receive the green light by the Portuguese embassy in Abuja.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered he has applied for a Portuguese visa from the embassy in Nigeria but he is yet to be issued one hence the reason why he is yet to link up with FC Porto for pre season training.
18 year old Musa was alongside Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and new Watford signing Isaac Success the shining light for Nigeria at the 2013 U-17 World Youth Championship in the UAE which Nigeria won.
He trained with the youth team of Spurs but work permit issues saw him farmed out on loan to Portimonense in the Portuguese second division after a proposed loan move to Celta Vigo broke down.
Musa moved to FC Porto from Tottenham Hotspur this summer after impressing during a six month loan spell with Portimonense in the second division In Portugal.
At FC Porto he is expected to spend the first few months with their B team where he would most likely be teammates with new signing Moses John bringing to six the number of Nigerians at the Portuguese giants.
The other Nigerians on the books of FC Porto includes Fidelis Irhene,Chidera Ezeh,Mikel Agu and Chidozie Awaziem but of the lot only Awaziem is guaranteed a spot in the first team next season.
