Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantepspor has terminated the contract of the Nigerian duo of Gbenga Arokoyo and John Chibuike according to reports reaching Owngoalnigeria.com.
Both players joined the team same season two years ago with Chibuike joining from Norwegian side Rosenborg while Arokoyo was signed from Mjallby of Sweden.
Last season while 27 year old Chibuike flourished on the pitch making 32 appearances in the league with 5 goals to his name,23 year old Arokoyo struggled to get into the Gaziantepspor team making just 15 appearances in the league.
However Arokoyo has already played for Nigeria at senior level featuring in their last two friendly games against Mali and Luxembourg, a step up for the man who played for Nigeria U-20s in 2013.
Chibuike yet to capped by Nigeria at any level was heavily linked with a move to China and that move could be re-ignited following his release by same team that blocked him from moving to the Far East.
