According to leaks gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com Nigeria U-20 defender Lukman Zakari could be on his way to Celta Vigo of Spain despite agreeing a pre contract deal with Sfaxien of Tunisia.
Courted by Boavista of Portugal and Monaco of France after distinguishing himself at the last U-17 World cup which Nigeria won in Chile he opted for what he thought was a good move for his career by agreeing to a deal with Tunisian side Sfaxien.
17 year old Zakari rated as one of the best teen defenders in Nigeria signed a pre contract with Tunisian giants Sfaxien but the club failed to honour the provisions of the deal which could see them lose out in the race to sign him.
Zakari relied on the Nigerian duo of Junior Ajayi and Kingsley Sokari for food and shelter when he went to Tunisia to train with the team before his invitation to the Nigeria U-20 team two months ago.
We gathered they were days he went hungry without food particularly when Sokari and Ajayi are out of town for a league game as he wasn’t given any money by the club for his feeding and upkeep.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered from his representatives that a line of communication has been opened between the La-Liga side regarding a possible transfer before the end of this summer transfer window.
However the move could as well be delayed until he turns 18 in December if talks between both parties goes according to plan.
