NIGERIA U-23 TRAINEE TAHIR “FABREGAS” MAIGINI RETURNS TO SERIE B SIDE

Tahir Maigini is back at Serie B side Spezia after a one season loan spell at Serie D side USD Lavagnese.

Tahir popularly called Fabregas by friends and teammates was shipped out on loan to Serie D side Lavagnese and after posting impressive performances for the team who finished third on the log he is back at Spezia to challenge for a spot in the team.

He is set to follow same career route like David Okereke who also went to USD Lavagnese before breaking into the first team at Spezia same as Nigeria U-20s star forward Orji Okonkwo although he has so far refused to move to Spezia.

The Future of Africa Football Academy product is predominantly a left footed player who is comfortable as a centre back, defensive midfielder or left full back.

A spell at HNK Rijeka in 2014 was cut short by injury but he impressed the coach of the Nigeria U-23 team during training two years ago and subsequently made the team but was later dropped.
