Former golden boy of Nigeria football Macauley Chrisantus has confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that he has joined second division Spanish side CF Reus as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Greek side AEK Athens.
” I will be presented tomorrow to the public, it’s a one year deal with the option of another, I truly feel am suited to the Spanish way of playing hence my decision to snub other offers and join CF Reus” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
The former Hamburg forward scored 22 goals for Spanish second division side Las Palmas during a two year spell but refused to extend his contract with the team opting for a move to Sivasspor of Turkey.
25 year old Chrisantus will be presented to the public tomorrow by the newly promoted second division team at 17:00 hours.
Known for his goal scoring prowess, pace and power the forward who has played in Germany, Spain, Turkey and Greece all in a bid to recapture the form that made him gain global attention in 2007.
