Super Eagles forwards Moses Simon and Brown Ideye came head to head when Belgian side Gent took on Greek champions Olympiakos in a pre season friendly game that ended 2-2.
Simon drew first blood when he gave Gent the lead two minute after the half hour mark but six minute later Ideye restored parity for Olympiacos to bring the scores to 1-1.
Jeremy Perbet restored Gent’s lead via the spot to give them a 2-1 lead which lasted for 18 minutes before Konstantinos Fortounis drew Olympiacos level for the second time.
The game ended all square and while the duo of Simon and Ideye made their mark by scoring, the third Nigerian widely expected to feature in the game Peter Olayinka wasn’t listed for action by the Belgians.
Olayinka has had an injury blighted time at Gent since joining from Albanian side Skenderbeu Korce and reports has it that the club could severe ties with the 20 year old forward.
