Manager of Crystal Palace Alan Pardew has included one time Nigeria U-20 invitee Freddie Ladapo in his squad for their pre season tour of USA/Canada.

Ladapo was invited by then Nigeria U-20 coach John Obuh during a training camp shortly before the start of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup but the then Colchester United forward failed to make the final 21 man squad for the tournament.

He joined Crystal Palace in March after impressing during a trial period after scoring a hattrick for the U-21 side, head coach Alan Pardew urged the team to snap up the 23 year old from Margate where he has over 20 goals in the National League South.

Still eligible for Nigeria and England at senior level , he could be the missing link in the attack of Crystal Palace that the manager is searching for but still he has to prove it in pre season games in the USA and Canada.

Crystal Palace will on Wednesday 13th July take on Philadelphia Union before a game against FC Cincinnati three days later and then round up their tour on the 19th after a game against Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Ladapo will be afforded the chance to push for a spot in the team next season in one of the aforementioned games.
