Egyptian Giant Al-Ahly Pushing To Sign Nigeria U-23 Forward

According to respected Egyptian sport news website, Al-Ahly have approached Tunisian side CS Sfaxien for the transfer of Nigeria U-23 forward Junior Ajayi.

Al-Ahly are currently in the market for a striker following the departure of top striker Malik Evouna to Chinese club Tianjin Teda and according to Kingfut they are eyeing Ajayi as a replacement for the Gabonese International.

Ex 36 Lions forward Ajayi joined Sfaxien last season after a stint on loan to Shooting Stars of Ibadan and finished last season with 10 goals to emerge as the team second top scorer behind Ali Maaloul who is on the verge of joining Al-Ahly as well.

20 year old Ajayi is presently in the camp of the Nigeria U-23 preparing for the Olympics in Rio and will expectedly make the 22 man rooster for the Olympic which could delay any imminent move away from Sfaxien.
