Liverpool have offered pre contract terms to Suleiman Mohammed who was a part of the Nigerian quartet who had trials with the Reds in May.
Mohammed spent two weeks at Liverpool alongside the Nigerian trio of Chidera Ejike,Jacob Njoku and Charles Ezeh training with their youth side and the Nigeria U-17 hopeful was the only one selected by the technical crew of the team.
Liverpool want the 16 year old to spend time with their youth team training and playing games before he turns 18 where his performances will determine if they will offer him a professional deal.
However his representatives are kicking against the idea as they have other options especially as he is heavily favoured to captain the next Nigeria U-17 team.
Since the Nigeria U-17 resumed training under the watchful eyes of coach Manu Garba, Mohammed has been one of the consistent performers in training leading to speculations he could be made captain of the team.
