Emenike Extends Goalscoring Run For Fenerbahce In Pre Season

Former Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Emenike is showing no sign of slowing down in pre season games for Fenerbahce as he scored twice to lead them to a 2-1 win over Greek side Panathinaikos.

29 year old Emenike back after a six months loan spell with West Ham in England has scored in all but one of Fenerbahche’s pre season games and his brace last night extended his streak to four goals in three games.

Emenike scored the opening goal for his Turkish side in the 3rd minute and helped them regain the lead which later ended as the winner in the 54th minute after Marcus Berg has cancelled out his early strike.

The Nigerian is highly favoured to be first choice striker of the Turkish side ahead of Dutch man Robin Van Persie who has so far played second fiddle to the Nigerian who has not have the best of time since joining Fenerbahce four seasons ago.
