18 year old Nigerian forward Olufela Olomola made an impressive debut for the first team of Southampton dazzling in their 2-0 victory over MLS side DC United Under-23s in a pre season friendly.
Under the watchful eyes of first team manager Claude Puel he was a part of a second half team that started and finished the friendly tie brightly to seal the 2-0 win.
Ololoma popularly refereed to as Fela had a 45 minutes run out and the physically imposing 18 year old was impressive with his hold up play and bringing others into play with his back to goal.
Fela was involved in the build up play that lead to Southampton second goal via the spot tucked in by Jay Rodriguez as he wasn’t scared to get involved in the proceeding of the game.
He is heavily tipped to be around the first team next season but he could as well go out on loan to get regular playing time if Southampton sign a replacement for Graziano Pelle who recently made a big money move to China.
