Crystal Palace Nigerian prospect Freddie Ladapo who joined the team in March gave a good impression in their 2-0 win over FC Cincinnati in their tour of the USA/Canada.
Jordon Mutch and Wilfred Zaha got the goals for the Eagles but 23 year old Ladapo who trained with the Nigeria U-20 team in 2011 before the U-20 World Youth Championship made gave a good account of himself in the game.
Ladapo introduced in the second half used the time he spent on the pitch to good effect as he went close to scoring and was only denied by some smart goalkepping by the Cincinnati shot stopper.
The Nigerian won himself a three year deal with Crystal Palace after impressing during a short trial period where he scored a hattrick for the U-21 under the watchful eyes of first team manager Alan Pardew.
Their next game will be against Vancouver Whitecaps on the 18th, a game that could decide his first team chances ahead of the start of the English Premier League season.
