Nigeria Under-23 invitee Solomon Theophilus has agreed a season long loan move to fellow Croatia top division side NK Istra from HNK Rijeka.
20 year old Solomon who was forced to sign a new contract by Rijeka has been unhappy at the club since his return from his highly successful loan spell at second division side NK Sibenik.
His guardian Mohammed Suleiman who confirmed the news to Owngoalnigeria made it known that he will complete his move to Istra by tomorrow as all the necessary paper works has been done.
“Solomon is excited that he is leaving Rijeka, they are treating him like a slave, poor pay, poor attention and despite handing him the number 9 shirt with lies of a bumper contract and spot in the team but as usual with them they didn’t fulfill any of the promise they made” Mohammed Suleiman told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” One of the many wrong steps have taken in my life was allowing him to join Rijeka, I look back and wonder where he would have been if he hasn’t joined them as they have zero or no plan for the Nigerians on their books”.
“His progressed has stalled just like that of Collins Jamilu, Okechukwu Aliyu, David Nwokolor, Gerald Diyoke and a lot of them the list is endless at Sibenik he will work with the same coach who made him a hit at Sibenik in Goran Tomic”
