Leicester City record buy Ahmed Musa, almost inspired a comeback for his team against Barcelona, by scoring twice after coming on as a second half substitute, in a pre season game at the ongoing International Champions Cup.
23 year old Musa, signed from Russian Champions CSKA Moscow was introduced by Manager Claudio Ranieri after the half time break with the English Champions trailing the La-Liga Champions 3-0.
Musa wasted no time in making his mark in the game with a stunning solo run from almost the half way line to slam in his first of the night, before roofing in a second with an effort in the box.
Javier Mascherano failed to keep up with the pace, tricks and power of the Nigerian, who appears to have settled down to life in his new surroundings.
For the minutes he spent on the pitch, Musa’s pace troubled the back line of Barcelona and he even had a penalty shout waved away after he was fouled in the box.
However his goals counted for less as his team fell 2-4, but the Nigerian has proven to fans of Leicester City who doubted his transfer fee, that he can equal or even surpass what Jamie Vardy did for the team last season.
