German Star Eyes First Goal But Wants Ugly Win Against Nigeria

Germany Under-23s forward Julian Brandt says it would be great if he gets on the scoresheet against Nigeria in Wednesday semi-final of the ongoing Rio 2016 male football event.

Brandt, who presently tops the assist chart at the Rio 2016 Olympic told the official website of Bayern Leverkusen, that he would love to score against Nigeria even though all he wants is for his team to progress.

“I’m looking forward to finding out all about them in the pre match analysis. But I don’t think we need to be afraid of them” He said.

“It would be great if I could score too but I’m happy with my role so far. I definitely want to beat Nigeria and I don’t care how we go through whether it’s a goal from me, my assist or even an own goal from the opposition if it has to be.
