EXCLUSIVE: Rohr Seek Talks With Super Eagles Stars Over International Retirement

Newly appointed Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Genort Rohr has asked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to grant him permission to hold talks with two players that have quit the Nigeria national team.

Rohr, wants to hold talks with the duo of top striker Emmanuel Emenike and former captain of the team Vincent Enyeama to see if he can convince them to come out of retirement.

Both players retired from the Nigeria senior national team during the reign of former manager Sunday Oliseh, but the 64 year old German is keen on having them in his team.

” He (Rohr) rates Carl Ikeme highly but still believes Enyeama can do a job for the Super Eagles, same for Emenike as despite all the options we have upfront, he seems to fancy the idea of having talks with the Fenerbahce man”, a source at the NFF told Owngoalnigeria.com.

“His immediate plan is to qualify Nigeria for the World Cup 2018 in Russia, and to do that he needs all hands on deck, going by what he knows about the duo, he feels they will be useful during the qualifiers.
