Zaidu Sanusi who is popularly referred to as “Nigerian Gareth Bale” is yet to make his professional debut, due to issues bothering on the release of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Zaidu was spotted by scouts of Portuguese side Gil Vicente during a tournament in Kaduna early this year, after a short trial in Portugal, a three year deal was agreed between him and the club.
However a mysterious injury slowed down his progress, but according to Faisal Abdullahi, who organised the tournament from where the speedy ace was picked, he is back to his feet but still awaiting for the issuance of his ITC.
“He is back to his feet and running properly, the last time we spoke, he told me he was feeling fitter than ever. The one issue holding him back still remains his International Transfer Certificate (ITC)” Faisal Abdullahi told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Regarding his compatriot at Gil Vicente Collins Nomso who was also picked by scouts of the club during same tournament is faring better, as the ITC of the 18 year old was reportedly received during the week.
