Anorthosis Famagusta of Cypriot will in the coming hours know their fate regarding the signing of Nigeria international Shehu Abdullahi, who was also at the recently concluded Rio 2016 Olympics with the Nigeria U23s.
An entourage from the Cypriot side have been sent to Shehu, to iron out the remaining details of his transfer, and Anorthosis have also set a deadline for the deal to be concluded.
We gathered, they want the deal sorted out before noon on Tuesday 30th of August, else they will be forced to withdraw their offer for the former Kano Pillars ace who is keen on a move away from relegated Uniao Madeira.
Anorthosis24 reports that the 23 year old who can play as a midfielder and also as a full back has already agreed to the terms proposed by the club, but an agreement is yet to be struck with his former side Uniao Madeira.
The Cyptiot side wants to sign the Bronze medal winning defender as a free agent but it appears his Portuguese side have triggered the option of contract renewal inserted in his deal, when he joined them last summer from Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia as a free agent.
