Hot on the heels of the signing of Rabiu Ibrahim, Belgian side Gent have confirmed the signing of one cap Super Eagles midfielder Anderson Esiti on a four year deal.

Esiti is now officially the fifth Nigerian on the books of the club, with Moses Simon Rabiu Ibrahim, Peter Olayinka and Troost Ekong the others with the team.

However the duo of Ekong and Olayinka are presently out on loan to Norway ( FK Haugesund) and Czech Republic (Dukla Praha) respectively.

22 year old Esiti made his debut for Nigeria in the first AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Chad in Kaduna which Nigeria won 2-0.

Known for his strength in tackles and aerial abilities, he is also adept at spraying passes even though he is most at times deployed as a defensive midfielder.
