The cash donation made to the Nigeria Men’s Football Olympic team is yet to be shared to players of the team by the captain John Obi Mikel, owing to issues beyond the control of the Chelsea star.
Players of the bronze medal winning Nigeria Men’s Olympic football team were giving the sum of $120,000, as gift for their performance at the Olympic by Japanese Surgeon Dr. Katsuya Takasu
Players of the team who spoke to Owngoalnigeria.com on the condition of anonymity said, the cheque presented by the donor Dr. Takasu is yet to be cleared by Mikel.
” Skippo (Mikel) is yet to clear the cheque, hence we are yet to receive alert but it’s fine even though we are anxious to hear from him” a player of the team told Owngoalnigeria.com.
We also gathered from a member of the Technical crew that they too are yet to hear from coach Samson Siasia, who was given the sum of $200,000 to share among his crew.
