The chances of Spanish giants Real Madrid completing a deal for highly rated Nigerian teen wonder Suleiman Abdullahi has been drastically reduced, following the transfer ban placed on the team by European football governing body UEFA.
17 year old Abdullahi was a thorn in the flesh of the B team of Real Madrid in a youth tournament played in Croatia. The forward emerged as top scorer with 8 goals which include a goal in the 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the final.
As exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com on the 10th of June, officials of Real Madrid sounded out the teen who also won the award of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the tournament. But a deal for him could be off following the transfer ban on the Spanish giants.
Abdullahi is presently training with Serie B side Spezia, and got off the mark for the Primavera side of the team in a pre season game. The youngster is presently with the team to improve on his abilities before a deal or a transfer will be agreed for him once he turns 18.
