Former 36 Lions forward Victory Omodiagbe has signed a three year deal with Egyptian Premier League team Petrojet SC. The team fondly referred to as Egyptian Barcelona by fans of the team.
The 19 year old had a short trial with Sfaxien of Tunisia in April, as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com but wasn’t offered a deal by the Tunisian, who were looking for a replacement for Omodiagbe’s ex 36 Lions teammate Junior Ajayi shortly after his move to Al-Ahly.
Omodiagbe trained with the Flying Eagles team of 2015 prior to the African Youth Championship in Senegal, and even made the preliminary list of 35 players for the tournament.
However he missed out on the final list of players for the tournament which Nigeria won, despite scoring close to four goals for the team during test games while in camp.
He was reportedly on the radar of Belgium champions KAA Gent as at 2014, and also had trials with some teams abroad without bagging a deal.
