The goal scoring run of Nigeria international Fanendo Adi is getting better by the day, as he has followed up his weekend strike in the league with another goal this time around in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Adi scored his side second goal in the 68 minute but his goal still wasn’t good enough for his MLS side Portland Timbers as they fell 2-4 away to Deportivo Saprissa in a group B game.

The defeat leaves Portland Timbers with 3 points from their first two games in the three team group where they are presently second.

25 year old Adi who is yet to debut for Nigeria but was called up for the double header against Egypt, now has 15 goals in all competition this season with four goals in his last five games.

His fine form will no doubt put him in the frame for a recall to the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria World Cup qualifiers, which starts in October with a clash against Zambia in Ndola.
