Arsenal Loanee Nwakali Gets One Minute Of Action In Debut Game For MVV Maastricht

On loan Arsenal teen midfielder Kelechi Nwakali made his professional bow playing one minute for MVV Maastricht in their Jupiler League clash against Jong Ajax, which they won 1-0.

MVV Maastricht needed a late goal from Joeri Schroyen five minutes from full time to pick up all three points. The goal was scored before the introduction of the highly rated Nigerian teen Nwakali for Thomas Verheijdt.

Nwakali joined the Dutch second division side on transfer deadline day on a season long loan deal from Arsenal. A team he official joined this summer after clocking 18 years old.

However work permit rules in England meant he has to be loaned out as he isn’t qualified for one yet. Host of teams were in for the winner of the Most Valuable Player at the last Under-17 World Cup but Maastricht won the race
