Former Nigeria youth international John Owoeri has hit a purple patch in front of goal in the Swedish league after netting his 10th of the season for BK Hacken in their 2-2 draw against IFK Goteborg.
Owerri struck his 10th of the season for Hacken to kickstart a comeback from a two goal deficit to draw 2-2 and move up to 7th on the log standing in the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top fligt league.
The goal was Owoeri’s 4th in his last three games and his 8th goal in just over a month. The 29 year old has already surpassed his last season tally by four goals with 11 games less.
29 year old Owoeri was at a time on the books of Dutch side Feyernoord but failed to make the grade at the club, and after a spell with Nigeria Premier League side Heartland, he has returned back to Europe.
He has been in Sweden for the last three seasons, starting off at Atvidaberg before moving to Hacken in January after three years with the modest side.
