Igiebor Warm Up For Zambia Clash With Goal In The Tel Aviv Derby In Israel


Super Eagles midfield enforcer Nosa Igiebor was on target for Maccabi Tel Aviv in their 5-0 thrashing of Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Tel Aviv derby in Isreal.


Igiebor listed for camping by coach Gernot Rohr for Nigeria first World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Zambia, scored the opening goal of the game in the 5th minute to open the floodgate of goals for his side.

The goal was Igiebor’s second in the league after opening his season account in the 2-2 draw against Beitar Jerusalem on the 11th of this month.

Last season Igiebor scored just four goals in 18 games but after just four games, he has achieved half his last season count with his goal against his former side Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Tal Ben Haim and Vidar Oern Kjartansson with a brace apiece to complete the rout, which also sends them to the top of the league standing in Israel after six games.
