The Nigerian duo of Emeka Emerun and Samuel Nnamani who are based in Serbia are currently provoking memories of Friday Eze who finished as top scorer and best player in the league two season ago.
Emerum who is in his second season in Serbia, where he plays for Sloboda Uzice after his transfer from Tunisian side Olympique Beja is yet to get off the mark this season after 8 games. But the 21 year old is highly respected and feared for his exploits last season.
Last season, the wideman scored four goals in 26 games to help his team to a respectable finish on the log.
His Nigerian compatriot Nnamani who also plays for same club has fared better in front of goal this season, with a goal to his name from the first 8 games of the season.
21 year old Nnamani joined his Nigerian compatriot Emerum at the club this summer, joining them from fellow Serbian side Donji Srem. This season is his third in Serbia but his second in the top flight as his first stint with Jagodina was when they were in the second division.
The duo are managed by Serbian agent Vladimir Mastilo, who has recently upped his scouting links in Nigeria in his quest to discover and transfer talented Nigerian players.
