On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo was impressive for his loan side Alanyaspor as they recovered from a 5-0 thrashing before the international break, by holding top Turkish team Fenerbahce to a 1-1 draw.
So far he has made five appearances for his loan side, but his performance against Fenerbahce ranks among his best as he was clearly a barrier for the Turkish Europa League campaigners.
Omeruo is in his fourth consecutive loan spell away from Stamford Bridge, frustrated former Manchester United ace Robin Van Persie who lead the line for Fenerbahce alongside Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike.
The 22 year old who spent last season on loan at another Turkish side Kasimpasa, won all his duels against the Dutch forward, in a game watched by a Chelsea technical staff reportedly sent to check on the progress of the Nigeria international.
Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the progress of the defender, in view of a recall to the first team by next summer after convincing him to extend his deal before his current loan move.
