Coach of Watford Walter Mazzari has explained the reason behind his decision to start Isacc Success ahead of his Nigerian compatriot Odion Ighalo, in his side 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Success was handed his first start by Mazzari much to the surprise of most followers of the club, as the decision to start the 20 year old Nigerian halted the deadly combo of Ighalo and captain Troy Deeney.
Mazzari, who took over the reins at Watford this season explains he went for Success ahead of Ighalo, as he is more suited to playing as a winger than Ighalo in respect to the tactics they employed against Boro.
” Boro have full backs who love to join attack, so I selected Success as a way of keeping them in check. I went for him ahead of Ighalo as he has been educated as a winger from his former side Granada” He said.
” He did just what we expected of him but he got tired towards the end, that is why he was pulled out. I am very pleased with his performance”.
