According to various reports monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com, Watford star Odion Ighalo is a prime target for Serie A side Napoli, who are looking for reinforcement upfront following the injury to top striker Arkadiusz Milik.
Milik has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and while Ighalo’s agent Patrick Bastianelli confirmed Napoli’s interest in his client, he however ruled out a move happening in January.
” Over the past two years he has been on a great run with a total of 36 goals” He told Radio Marte.
” In January it may be difficult to go away, Watford and the Pozo family has excellent relations with Napoli, but it will be difficult to sell in the winter market.
” The last year he has also been wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United, but Watford had not even sat down to deal with them.
” We’re talking about a guy who is a part of the Nigerian national team. In football anything can happen, we’ll see”.
