Battle For Second Choice Goalkepper Intensifies As Rohr Drops Big Hint On First Choice

The battle for who will be on the bench as the reserve goalkepper when Nigeria take on Algeria this weekend will move to a whole new height in the coming days as the game approaches.

Already coach Gernot Rohr speaking yesterday dropped a line that suggest he is already looking towards who will be his first choice with Ikechukwu Ezenwa currently favoured.

Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alampasu are the other two goalkeppers in the camp of the team ahead of the November 12 game, but it appears the German coach has partly made up his mind as to who will be between the sticks.
During yesterday’s session Ezenwa was put through special drills by goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu while Alampasu and Akpeyi were involved in full scale training with the rest of the squad.

” We have a goalkepper who has been with us for some time now, he has played test games for us against local side. That alone is an edge but we have to consider other factors as well before settling on who will be in goal” He told during a chat before their training.
