According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward Anthony Nwakaeme could be handed a call up to the Nigeria senior national team for their upcoming friendly games.
Coach Gernot Rohr has been monitoring the performances of the of the 27 year old in Israel, and going by his fine form in the Europa League and in the domestic league, Rohr could hand him a call up.
The coach took a liking to the forward after watching him in an Europa League game and penciled him down as one of the players, he would call up in the future.
Yesterday Nwakaeme took his goal tally for the Israeli side to six for the season, netting in their 5-1 thrashing of Hapoel Haifa in an Israeli league game.
Already his club teammate John Ogu has been handed a recall to the team, but if Nwakaeme is called up, it will be the first team he has been called up to the Nigeria squad at any level.
