Owngoalnigeria.com understands that highly rated Kaduna United central defender Sunday Akinmoladun has left the camp of Niger Tornadoes after receiving invitation to have a two week trial with Belgian side Zulte-Waregem.
The hard tackling uncompromising centre back was one of the stand out performers in the Nigeria National League, and was reportedly on the wish list of almost three Nigeria Premier League teams before Niger Tornadoes used their strong connection with Kaduna United to snap him up.
” We did a lot to convince him to join us but just when we are thinking we have struck gold, we got a call from Kaduna United informing us that he is going for trial in Belgium”, a Niger Tornadoes source told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” He is very strong, good in the air and solid in tackles. It’s a rare combination to see a defender in Nigeria with such quality. We wish him the best in Belgium”.
However he won’t be representing them next season if he passes the two weeks trail with the Belgium league leaders, where Kingsley Madu presently plays.
