In form Chelsea wing back Victor Moses has credited out of favour Chelsea ace Mikel Obi for helping him fight for a spot at Chelsea after three consecutive loan spells away from the club.
Moses has won back to back man of the match award for his displays in the last two games of Chelsea, and he crowned it up by picking up the PFA Fans Player of the month award.
The 25 year old would have left on another loan deal were it not for some motivational talks from his senior colleague and Nigerian counterpart at Chelsea Mikel Obi.
” At the start of pre season, Mikel told me to forget about going out on loan and fight for your spot. He told me why are you running to. Why can’t you stay here and fight for your spot”, he said.
” His talks renewed my beliefs even before the manager told me I am part of his plans, and today I can’t help but thank him for helping me realise the reason why am at Chelsea”.
