Super Eagles first choice goalkepper Carl Ikeme suffered a setback on his return from injury for Wolverhampton Wanderers as they got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over QPR.
Ikeme stood between QPR and a goal for the 83rd minute he was on the pitch before he was replaced by Andy Lonergan who conceded the consolation goal scored by QPR.
The Nigerian was replaced with what looked like an achilles injury, a blow which manager Paul Lambert says dent his first win as boss of Wolves.
However, before bowing to injury, the 30 year old twice played the sweeper keeper role for his team. The second been a sweep from almost 40 yards to his goal. A skill made famous by German keeper Manuel Neuer.
Fans of Wolves took to twitter to tag the shot stopper ” The Nigerian Neuer” with another asking if he is watching Ikeme or Neuer.
