NIGERIAN PLAYERS WRAP: Ideye, Onuachu On Target, Etebo, Onazi Suffer Cup Defeat

Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye was among the goals for Greek side Olympiacos in their 4-0 thrashing of Chania in the Greek Cup to end a mini goal drought.

Ideye has gone three weeks without a goal before slotting in the 25th minute of the rout to take his goal tally to 9 in all competitions this season.

In Denmark, one time Nigeria U-23 invitee Paul Onuachu netted what ended as a consolation goal for FC Midtylland as they went down 1-2 away to Silkeborg, in the ALKA Superliga.

The 74th minute strike by the over six feet tall striker is his 8th of the season, six in the league and two in the Europa League. He has already equaled his league goal tally of last season with less than seven games.

Orji Okonkwo who is slowly becoming the toast of Bologna fans made his Coppa Italia debut to help his team to a 4-0 win over Hellas Verona, his third appearance in just over a week since making his professional bow for the team.
